I am placing this mini-article here, as it mainly concerns those passionate about the gaming industry; and especially Nintendo’s efforts to advance gaming as a whole. Since I’m putting this up later than expected, I’ve condensed it to the following points (and included speculation on the Wii MotionPlus accessory):
Starfox Wii
Developed by Factor 5 (makes more sense) or Namco Bandai (developer of Starfox Assault). Multiplayer component by Kuju Entertainment (Think BWii multiplayer, but improved).
F-Zero Wii
Re-utilising the Wii Wheel, but for a more hardcore audience.
Voice Recognition
I don’t have a particular game in mind, but after hearing the buzz about Endwar, and knowing that great minds think alike, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to imagine Nintendo doing something with voice recognition again (see Hey You, Pikachu! and Nintendogs for previous efforts). Possible Animal Crossing Wii feature?
Wii MotionPlus
New franchise to utilise this device, seems more probable than another Zelda.
New Mario Party
Well duh, they just keep releasing them anyway…
Ok, that’s the “predictions” or whatever you readers would prefer to call them. I could be totally wrong, but I’ve been right before, and I’ve followed the industry since ’94. If I’m right on some of the points above though, I’d love to hear your comments :).
